Review on Fuel Filter Assembly for Toyota (23300-62030) by Alex Romero

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very simple, you need a 10 mm head.

My 99ft 4runner has done 160,000 miles and there is no record of changing this filter. To calm down, I decided to switch. Very easy, all you need is a 10mm socket to remove the mount from the frame, a 14mm in-line wrench and a 3/4" wrench to secure. Remove the gas cap to relieve the pressure, loosen the two nuts on the steel lines leading to the filter before removing the two 10mm nuts holding it to the frame. You'll lose less than 5 ounces of fuel, so be prepared to keep it out of your sight and put a pan under the vehicle. When reinstalling, carefully (by hand) tighten two nuts on the steel tubing leading to the filter. Once they are snug and secure, reattach the bracket to the frame with two 10mm nuts. Tighten the two 10mm nuts and then tighten the nuts on the steel pipes with wrenches. .
