I have a 4" x 10" cargo trailer that needs a headlight replacement. I bought this kit because I didn't need side marker lights, just two tail lights. They fit the same bolt pattern as the originals, so all that was required was to cut the existing wires and run new ones. Older flashlights didn't have a separate ground wire; make new ones I soldered the ring connector to the white (ground) wire and used one of the mounting studs as ground. Works well after a month of use. Note. I soldered the new wires to the old ones and used heat shrink tubing over the solder joints to make them look nicer and waterproof. The only problem I have is that the wires stick out a bit from the back of the case. where the original light wires came out the side of the body. I had to use a couple of washers on the mounting studs to move the cases slightly away from the mounting posts to allow the wires room to bend around the post. An alternative would be to drill a hole for the wires to go through my posts. The light is very bright, much brighter than original bulbs. So far I have driven about 400 miles with a trailer with new headlights and some roads have been covered with gravel like a washboard. The headlights work perfectly and I am very happy with them. Several other reviews indicated that nuts were missing and both lights had a license plate window. My set didn't have any of these issues; All the nuts were included and I got a left and right taillight. The only downside is that there was no wiring info in the box that came with the lights. You can get the information from the online listing, but it would be nice to have the information in the box and have it handy when installing.
