Looks good and should last through the winter. The time will show. I have attached rods to some U-shaped traffic signs with 7/16 inch stainless steel carriage bolts. A quick tip is to set up the sign so that the "U" of the post supports the sign. If you mount it from the back, only one screw will hold it. and it will fail in strong winds.
