Failed to load media. I've never used a vice (although I've used a drill press for years) but this one works great. I use it to drill magnetization holes for weapons/equipment on Warhammer miniatures and drill barrels on their weapons. I use it with one hand while holding the model in the other hand and haven't had any problems so far. For your own health, apply some grease (I used WD-40) to the rear rotating assembly to keep it from squeaking with each revolution. As with any drill, be sure to tighten the tip of the vise around the drill. It shouldn't be too tight, but it should be neat. I had no problems with the bit being off center. The matching beats also worked very well. So far I have used 0.8mm, 1mm, 1.2mm, 1.5mm and 2mm bits and none of them have broken. I've read reviews on many of these pin vise sets about bits breaking, and now I can say with confidence that if someone breaks them, it's the operator's fault. Mark the pilot hole to keep the bit from wandering (I use a thumb stud) and don't try to get the bit out of the way. They take a little side force, but that's how you usually break drills.
