later First of all the name is misleading because we expect sponges to be absorbent and they are not absorbent at all. I bought these to scrape dough off bowls, tables and dough hooks because they remove the dough easily and don't have a soft "spongy" surface to hold the dough in place - it just rinses off. So if you want to remove something sticky or loose and don't want the material sticking to the sponge, this will help.
