I mainly use shock absorbers to isolate devices that come without feet. For example external hard drives that can vibrate properly. These bumpers are thick enough to hold the case on the shelf but soft enough to keep the rims from vibrating. I also have bumpers on the bottom of my Roku device and similar items that generate enough heat for the airflow underneath the item to help the item and what it's standing on keep the cooler running. Also suitable for the back of framed paintings to keep them square to the wall. You will find many uses for these bumpers. And yes, they are great for closet doors. The best bumpers I've found and you can't beat the price.
