local boys/girls: you need a 17mm socket. If, like me, you prefer your race cars and trailers to come with typical 3/4" or 13/16" outlets (so I just need an outlet for wirelessly banging around potholes or roadsides, don't fiddle Don't go around with the toolbox looking for "others"), then skip them unless you want to buy a few sets and switch to a 17mm socket for everything. From a production standpoint, I cannot blame Dorman for making all LCL nuts 17mm diameter and then simply threading any size tap through them to fit most cars. But this makes the wall thickness of the nut about 0.040" thinner on a 1/2-20 wheel stud than on a 3/4" hex. I'm not sure if that matters but it's for my race car so I'll go for the fatter ones. Note that I found a 7/16" split reaction nut on the caliper bolt and that nut was pretty thin walled and aircraft quality so stupid things can happen. any other car. Note that the paint comes off the corners when you first hit them with a punch gun. And I haven't used that many Ugga Duggas either. Maybe not great if you like the show and Parker glitz, although they will for your brilliant daily driver. Anyway, I sent them back and settled on Gorilla Nuts 45088-20.
