I was able to move these switches forward even though mwave was still set over range. You should be aware that there is a secure latch that will hold the connecting wires to the tabs on the switches and will not come loose until you press the latch. I also broke some of the plastic pins that the switches slide on, but I was able to lock the new switches in place with just the right length of screw (critical in some positions). Nothing seemed obviously wrong with the original switches, but these new ones corrected the message.
