Review on Outdoor Research Rocky Mountain Gaiters by Gary Reed

I bought these alligators for hunting in the thick sagebrush here in Utah. I used to tuck my pants into my boots to keep bugs and ticks out and double-knot my shoelaces to keep them from unraveling with the brush. These alligators cover everything for me, which is exactly what I needed. I was very satisfied with their work. After about a week of very strenuous hiking, they still look almost new. I can see some tears in the stitching where the straps attach due to abrasions on the underside of the alligators. It seems to be mostly cosmetic. They added a little noise to my walking as branches and sticks hit them. The scratching on the Cordura fabric was a little louder than on regular pants and leather boots. No real complaints. They were way more breathable than I expected. My hunting trip was in 80 degree weather and I hardly noticed I was wearing them. I didn't have any sweat build up underneath which made them very comfortable. I would definitely buy them again or recommend them to a friend.
