Review on EPSON T200XL420-S - DURABrite Ultra High Capacity Yellow Ink Cartridge For Expression And WorkForce Printers by Leonard Beard

I purchased 2 of these EPSON 200XL black cartridges back on 4/1/20and just needed to use one today 8/29/20 (the "Best before" date on bothpackages was 07 2022 so that should not have been a problem). I insertedone into the printer and went through the usual charging routine and gotalmost nothing out of it when I started printing. So I tried a head cleaningwith no success. I have an engineering background so there's no cockpiterror problem here. After trying everything I could think of I had to go with mylast resort, which was to eat the $33.50 I paid for it and install the second cartridge.That did not help either. It was just as bad as the first. Again, I tried all the maintenanceprocedures and still it just would not put ink onto the paper. I had recently purchasedsome color cartridges which came with the standard capacity black cartridges.So I decided to eat the other $33.50 and insert the new smaller cartridge. After a headcleaning it worked like a champ.So I wasted $67 on this purchase, can't get a refund since it was almost 5 months agothat I purchased them.Moral of this story is to stay away from XL cartridges, at least from this vendor (theyare genuine EPSON from what I can tell, which is what I wanted), and don't orderanything on April Fool's Day.
