Just the right amount of coverage without being too covered.
This swim skirt fits pretty nicely and seems true to size. I am usually an x-small (size 0-2 in most jeans, 25" waist) but the smallest size this was available in was a small. It fits well dry, but I haven't tried it swimming yet. The rise is more of a mid-rise to me, but still below my belly button. It also looks fine with the top band rolled over to lower the rise and make it more snug, but I don't mind how it is left unrolled. It gives just that little extra bit of coverage without looking like something overly modest.
