Review on 📷 Sony E Mount 20mm F1.4 Art DG HSM Lens by Michael Weaver

I bought this lens from another store and returned it because the autofocus was too slow. I think it's great for photography but I do video. I ran some tests and it turned out that the object that got into the frame was slow. I went back and forth to and from the lens every time it lost focus. Walk at a normal pace, he won't even catch me. Pop in the frame and just wait a bit until I finally focus. If I use it on a gimbal, the slow autofocus will be an issue. Why? Good. Crane 2 held his weight well with a7riii and a7iii. No balancing issues with no tracking focus. With subsequent focusing, it became too heavy at the front and while I was still able to balance it, the motor couldn't support the weight to make all the movements. I couldn't shoot the whirlpool and a few other pans. So I would have to use a non-tracking focus lens. I've been using the Crane 2 for a while and can quickly balance any lens and camera. If you're new to stabilizers, I can see how you might have trouble getting this lens right. But then again, if I had to rely on the lens itself to keep things sharp when using the stabilizer, I'd have a lot of blurry shots. Another issue I've found is the round glass that doesn't allow filters to be added. On the plus side, this is a nice lens. Takes out a lot of light. The bokeh is great. Virtually no deformation. The horizontal lines are almost completely straight. You would have to really look for distorted lines to notice them. But he's doing a great job with it.
