When removing the old filter, be sure to remove the old gasket

Filter comes with a new gasket. Be sure to remove it, lubricate the gasket with oil and install it in the filter. When you remove the old filter from your car, make sure there is a gasket where the new gasket is. It's easy to skip this step and end up screwing the new filter back into place only to unscrew it later.
