That's what happens when technology changes. I had a collection of CDs and DVDs that I can no longer use because my computer doesn't have an internal drive and I don't want to invest in a player for my new living room sound system. Thought it would be a good fix until it stopped working after 3 months of ownership with VERY little use. The device would not turn on or open, effectively turning it into a useless building block. I have to admit I've seen other reviews mentioning the same issue, but we've gotten to the point where no Revain product is immune to negative reviews these days, so I took a chance. For those who complain without fully exploring their options, be aware that this device comes with a 2-year warranty, which the company is very gracious in acknowledging. All you have to do is contact them via the email address listed in the Revain listing. In my case I provided a video proving that my plug and play device stopped working when plugged in and they sent me a new one. .Hope my second device will last longer.
