This ruler appears to be accurate and will assist with straight line drawing or cutting. However, I purchased this ruler for artwork. The edges of the are sharp, not enough to cut skin easily, but they need to be blunted. The ruler I received was bowed and requires downward pressure to keep it flush with a surface. The top is scratched and had a dirty smudge that needed to be removed with alcohol; not a deal breaker, but disappointing. All that being said, the ruler suits some purposes, just not mine.UPDATE: I gave this ruler one star initially, due to my personal needs. The seller responded with a refund, which I didn't request, but do appreciate. I've updated my review to 3 stars, since the seller went above and beyond my expectations.
