Review on LG 27UN850 W: Borderless DisplayHDR Monitor with Adjustable Stand, USB Hub, and High Dynamic Range by Adam Palma

Works great with Mac Studio

I just switched to Mac Studio from a Retina iMac and was looking for a monitor that was as good as the iMac's Retina. First, there's nothing better than the iMac's Retina display other than Apple's new $1,500 monitor. But this LG will help you 99% of the time. It takes a bit of fiddling to get the resolution right, but after using it for a few weeks I can't tell this monitor apart from an iMac when writing code - working with text. No idea about games or professional graphics. It's every bit as good as the Retina iMac in terms of casual YouTube browsing and web browsing. I liked it so much that I got a second one to connect to my Mac Studio, replacing my old 27" Apple Thunderbolt display. The monitor works great. out of the box with the included USB-C cable. I have now connected 2 via USB-C cables and they are great. The only drawback is probably the built-in speaker. That's a far cry from what iMac speakers sound like. To solve this, I found a Nylavee soundbar that fits snugly under the monitor. Another issue I haven't solved yet, and which may be self-related, is that the computer sometimes doesn't hibernate from the sleep menu on the first try . Another issue Open apps don't always stay on the second monitor when the computer wakes up. This is a known issue with third-party displays, so you might have to live with it until Apple stops making new emojis and fixes some bugs in their software. Now I'm back to what I had with the i Mac, only now I have 10 cores and lightning speed.
