I installed a nice 12" chrome handrail with 1/4 x 20 fasteners on the flange end plates. Then I decided it would blend better if it was black. Not that easy to find. It looks perfect and he figured if it was off by 1/4 inch or so I'd just enlarge the screw holes. Imagine my surprise when instead of 12 inches center to center it is 12 inches. end to end. So it's really 10.5" center to center. There's no way to hide that. If I wasn't trying to align on 12" centers with existing holes, it wouldn't be a problem. Just note that this is not measured from center to center (like most) Overall quality is very good.
