We were looking for a percolator coffee maker that could work with our induction cooker and decided to try it because of its price, history and looks. We've only had him for about a month, but so far he seems to be doing a very good job. We especially like the very rich flavor when using freshly ground coffee with this machine every morning. The device's performance can produce enough coffee to fill two cups, but we knew that from the reviews we read before purchasing. Since my wife and I only drink one cup of coffee in the morning, that's not a problem for us. Cleaning is quick and easy; So far we have only washed all parts of the device with hot water. The only issue we had was that after about the third week, two small black spots started appearing on one side of the inside of the unit's water tank. I was able to clean them by wiping them down with a safe teflon sponge and dish soap. I believe they arose because the inside didn't dry well after a single rinse and the device wasn't used for several days. A small amount of water remained in the fully assembled block over the weekend and I suspect the dark and humid environment along with the pH of the Texas water probably had something to do with it. I'll keep an eye on it. situation and will update this review if keeping the surface dry after rinsing does not prevent this from happening again. Overall we are very happy with our purchase based on the price we paid and its performance to date.
