Lovely duvet but colors vary slightly from those listed

I really wanted to love this duvet and I love it as it was the finishing touch to my newly decorated bedroom but the room is orange , and I wanted to add some white with some orange to the quilt, and in the picture it looked like the orange feathers would do, but unfortunately they ended up being brown instead of orange. I also washed it on the gentle cycle and dried it in the washing machine before putting it on the bed. There is a lot of ripping at one point and I'm worried that after a few washes (well washed) the stitching will stretch more and more, but I'll live with that because I've already washed it. .
