This charger charges my Norelco 8240XL just as well and just as quickly as a standard charger. So I figured it was time for a new charger with the cable jacket intact. The build quality of this charger seems normal for a charger and is up to the task. Hopefully the cable jacket won't fray and tear as easily as the original. The only downside compared to the standard charger is that the cord is quite short. This is about 1 meter / 3 feet compared to about twice the size of a standard charger. In the second photo, this charger is at the top and the regular one is at the bottom. You can see that the standard charging cable is twice as long. So keep that in mind if you need a longer cable.
