Has a thermostat that stays at 105 degrees or lower. Waterproof. GOOD PRODUCT!

This is my second purchase of this item. The one I bought last year works fine but I have more cats and need a different one. Doesn't overheat. After season 1 and season 2, the first one works fine. I built a new plywood box and insulated it with thick grain styrofoam. Folded the top so I can open it to install the heating plate. It can also be opened for cleaning. This heating pad is a cat meow! I love it and have used many different ones. You can't go wrong with this!
