Review on 🖨️ Wangdd22 Volcano: High-Quality Printer Filament Extruder for Precision Printing by Gabriel Rosenberg

I bought this for the Monoprice Mini V2. The only quality issue I had was that the thermocouple wire was exposed next to the glass bead and shorted it out so I got temperature swings. The Kapton foil seemed to help, but it's probably only a matter of time before I need to replace it. That is the main reason why I gave 3 stars. Also a word of caution to all other V2 owners, you will need to print out a new bracket as it is a few mm taller than the stock bracket. And the heater block is about 1mm taller than the stock block, so any nozzles with a shorter threaded shank won't properly butt against the thermal break throat. To get around the height issue I used the nut that came with the stock and it works fine. Also the height and width of the heating block is the same as the e3d silicone sock but the length is slightly shorter. By the way, most clones are going to have all these women issues, so I'm not just taking that out. As mentioned the teflon tubing is a bit stiff so I used some spares I had but I think they will work quite well. All in all this is a good set for the price and it works. Nice powerful fan. My previous one went out, but before that happened I felt heat at the top of the radiator. In this case, the temperature of the upper part of the radiator remains around room temperature. It would have gotten 5 stars without the thermocouple and short heater block.
