I love Dorman products, I have bought several to replace broken or worn parts on our vehicles and have never had a problem. just what we needed for our old Ford F150 pickup and it was relatively easy for me (a family member) to install it myself. The hardest part was putting the pliers on the clamp at the base of the old, cracked, leaking block (when did it get that old? haha) and removing the hose. Place a bowl or something similar on the floor below if you need to catch the spilled water/coolant mixture, especially if you intend to use it again. In my case, I wanted to flush the entire system at home, so I parked the truck where a little rusty old fluid wouldn't go amiss, got under the floor, and removed one end of the bottom clamp and hose. I drained the old liquid completely (it has a lot of sediment in it) and then reconnected the hose. I connected two hoses to a new coolant overflow tank (easier to put on than take off and as you can see in the product photo the new one comes with a fresh top hose). Incidentally, during installation, the bottom of the tank is held in place by a built-in clip that goes through a hole in the truck frame. You will need old screws for the two upper brackets. There is nothing difficult about inserting and tightening with a ratchet. I then just filled my cooling system with fresh water from a hose and let the engine run for 10 minutes. I then removed the lower hose and drained the already dirty water. I did it again as I don't have the ability to pressure wash. When the next batch ran out, it was relatively clean. Now I've filled two jugs with new coolant I bought at a local auto shop (it should be mixed 50-50 with water, that's what I'm guessing) and filled up to the mark on the new container with fresh water, den Unscrewed the lid and that was it. All in all less than an hour's work. Brand new tank - recommended.
