Great replacement! Best in Coolant Rebuild Kits

My reservoir in my lung 97 F250 (5.4 Triton) was leaking and this replacement fit! It took me about 15 minutes to do the swap with the right tools. There are only (2) 5/16 bolts holding the reservoir in place and (2) hose clamps that are easily removed with pliers. And BOOM! 👊 Easy peasy Lemon Squezy :)ps Antifreeze does spill so keep 2 gallons of 50/50 antifreeze on hand to fill up after installing the new one. For your health!

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Crumpled Packaging

Great price! In May 2018, a flush tank with a lid cost sixty dollars. It has a metal reinforcement sleeve on the bottom hose connection but no built in washer/stop on the top attachment point like a factory part. I do not mind. The lid feels and performs like a factory lid and so far have had no issues with the entire unit on 90 degree days here on the east coast. I really like Dorman products. Factory quality parts at a lower factory price with many parts no longer available from the original…

  • Excellent design

REPLACES OEM ONE EXCELLENT

This tank is a good replacement for old tanks where the fluid level is difficult to see. It appears to be the same dimensions and it is now much easier to see the coolant level on my 2001 f150. I think their cost is high but then again this will work with an engine without enough coolant and on older cars your coolant temp sensor can get stuck and now you can know that. In short, when you open the hood to check the oil level, a quick glance will tell you if your fluid level is okay. I drove…

Super Cool Expansion Tank

This was a fantastic replacement for my old grungy opaque yellowed coolant expansion tank that originally came with my trusty 21 year old F-150 pickup. For many, many years the original engine suffered from epidemic gasket leaks and oil in the coolant and coolant in the oil. It was a nasty mess, but the Windsor V6 still honestly drove a total of 185,000 miles and then gave up. When the revised "new" engine went on sale I thought it would be great to replace that nasty expansion tank that…

Pros
  • Hands Free
Cons
  • Poorly Constructed

The right part for our Ford F150 pickup - easy do it yourself

I love Dorman products, I have bought several to replace broken or worn parts on our vehicles and have never had a problem. just what we needed for our old Ford F150 pickup and it was relatively easy for me (a family member) to install it myself. The hardest part was putting the pliers on the clamp at the base of the old, cracked, leaking block (when did it get that old? haha) and removing the hose. Place a bowl or something similar on the floor below if you need to catch the spilled…

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Non automatic
