Review on Roswheel Essential Series Convertible Bike Trunk Bag/Pannier - Perfect For Cycling Commuters! by Reza Cook

Almost good, but works

8L version: The best thing about this trunk is it looks great! However, for the money, there are some details that seem to be overlooked. The main trunk is what I would expect and there is a mesh pocket under the lid. There is a long exterior pocket on the lid that I use to hold the shoulder strap. It may be able to hold a small pump too, but I haven't tried yet. The other two exterior pockets are so narrow (depth wise), my wallet doesn't fit. I put my keys in one side, but there is so little depth that they are nearly useless -- which is disappointing. The zippers are also disappointing with thin strong pulls (one of which arrived broken). Once the string breaks, that zipper can't be used until the string is replaced. Fortunately I have an old backpack with thicker string pulls attached to metal pulls, so I don't and them. I switched those out. Otherwise, I wouldn't expect the pulls to last too long. I wish this bag had a key clip and was a bit stiffer. That said, it does what I need it to do, hold my u-lock and wheel cable and other small things that would normally be in my pockets. If this had metal zipper pulls I would give it 4 stars.

Pros
  • Adjustable straps to secure the bag in place while cycling
Cons
  • The bag's material may become flimsy and weak with extended use
