The instructions say to use either the amount of water or the time to determine the cooking time, but the machine turns itself off and you cannot set the time. This is the main problem of this machine. The 7 eggs they say fit are probably small eggs, not very big. My 3 extra large eggs took 80ml of water and cooked until they ran out on their own, but not when I wanted them to run out. I couldn't turn it back on. My balls came out wrong. I wish I had more time. The second time I boiled the eggs, I added less water. I've found that less water makes the machine think there are more eggs and it runs longer. I'm still thinking about it. After 50 years of cooking eggs on a gas range, I moved to an apartment with an electric range and can't make a decent egg. I'm keeping the car because it's better than my seething disaster. I hope to manage water/time. * I write reviews to let you know how I felt about this product and to help you with your decision to buy or not to buy it.
