We had a power outage a few months ago. One of my computers would not start when turned on. I suspected a problem with the power supply (it was a Corsair CX430). I removed the power supply and jumpered pins 4 and 5 of the 20 pin connector and the fan came on. This led me to suspect that the problem wasn't with the PSU, but most likely a burned motherboard. Just to be safe, I ordered this EVGA 460 BP at an amazing Memorial Day deal for $29.99. Simply installed and lo and behold, my computer booted up immediately. EVGA 460 is silent. The only problem - and it's minor - was that the 8-pin CPU socket was split into two adjacent 4-pin sockets. Due to the tight fit on my motherboard, it was quite difficult to connect the cable without removing the cooler. But I did it. For the money I don't think you can go wrong with this power supply, assuming 460W is enough for your setup. It was definitely for me.
