I ordered this to replace all the others I had and I have had several. I like having a power socket on the back of the phone, which of course is also in a case. This makes my thin (but made of GLASS) phone quite bulky, rendering the side arms of most mounts unusable. My boyfriend yells "CRUIL!" Every time my phone falls out of its holder and it becomes a daily occurrence, I grab this one. And I'm sooo glad I did! Installation was quick and easy (I drive a circa 2006 Kia Sportage with 1/2" vents) and my phone sits securely in the car even with the ACHD installed with dips and bumps to keep people busy keep. Due to speeding in my area (HA!), mine didn't have a small metal plate to fit under the pop socket plate, but that's ok. I installed another large rectangular one I had on hand and now I have two options for mounting my phone to this little rock. I'm a lucky tourist! If you doubt this and know for sure you have 1/2 inch deep horizontal louvers in your car's air vents. ? TAKE. It's 100% worth it and way better than the bulky clunky versions. You will not be disappointed. :)
