So I bought 2 of these. The first thing to note is that it cannot hold legal-size paper. It fits a letter and the longest paper it fits is A4. It didn't matter much, I put legal sized paper in the tray that came with the printer. But it's something to be aware of, and the product description doesn't seem to mention anything about it. Second, the first tray added, which becomes Tray 2, works well with letter paper. There is no fuss/excitement. Very easy to set up. However, when I added the second optional tray, it became Tray 3 and loaded A4 paper. Margins on printouts appear to be shifted 1/16 inch to the right on all printouts. Not the end of the world, but a bit annoying. I'm not sure if it's because it's the bottom tray (if you put in stationery instead things might line up better) or the A4 paper feed capability, but it is what it is. In general, if you want to add a compartment, this is not a problem. I'm not so sure about the second one.
