My display defect has been cracking for some time. Eventually I got fed up because I had NO functionality at that point, I relied on music from my iPhone. I called around and the dealer wanted $1500 for parts and labor. Now is not the time to spend so much money. I told a friend about this and he searched the internet for details and googled youtube videos on the installation. It cost time and money. The video was about 45 minutes long, the parts cost about $70, and it took us about 2 hours to disassemble and put back together. I'm sure we would have less time if we knew what we were doing. Conclusion: The new screen looks great and works like new.
