I have to admit that I was a bit skeptical at first due to some of the negative reviews, but this monitor is absolutely perfect! It connected to my laptop via the HDMI port and started up immediately. My laptop recognized it automatically so there was no problem setting it up. I don't know about the speakers because I still have external speakers. The image quality is perfect for me as I only use it as a second monitor while the code is running. I can't confirm playability as I have a different setup for it. NOTE. If you're buying this for a PC and running Windows 10, once connected, press Windows key + P and it will open. Increase your display settings. You can decide to duplicate your screen, extend it (so you can perform separate actions on each display), or use just one display at a time. Hope that helps.
