I looked around and found monitors with batteries that were incredibly heavy for travel. Also, many monitors felt very weak for travel, and reviews reflected that. Also, there are many 15.6 inch monitors which I would consider too big for travel as my laptop is 13 inch and that's enough for a second screen. And many monitors with weird input voltages like 9V or 12V which unfortunately you need on the plane but 5V. This monitor covers all the important travel points. The 13 inch size is perfect for a small suitcase or even to put on an airplane tray which is usually quite small. Then the weight isn't too high @ 2 pounds (less than that and I found the monitors underpowered). This monitor looks well built and I don't mind if I can't handle a long drive. Also, it requires 5V to charge, which is also great for traveling, there's no weird voltage. It can even be powered by a smartphone. Assuming the phone supports it. It works perfectly with my 2019 MacBook Pro. I found at least two ways to configure the cable to work with my MAC. One with USB-C and the other with HDMI and they both work. Overall this is perfect for what I need. And yes, it's touchscreen and Dex compatible. That's a great bonus too. If you look around you won't find many monitors like this one. At least I couldn't find that many that fit my criteria. Good luck with your search!
