This product does its job efficiently (e.g. adapts a USB 3.1 device to the Apple Lightning connector). I think it works better than some of the more complex devices because it's narrow enough at the Lightning port end that you can connect two ports at once. Some of the larger devices don't fit side by side, leaving you with an unusable port. The packaging says it matches USB 3.1 data transfer speeds, and while I haven't measured it, that statement seems to be true. The cable is strong yet flexible and its black color goes well with my dark gray Mac. I bought two and overall I'm glad I did.
