Error triggering the screen saver, the warranty covers a short period of time and use.

So I chose Hue Play to spice up my gaming PC. As an added bonus, lighting my monitors like this also helps reduce eye strain and improves image sharpness. I've found Hue Sync to be customizable even though the process takes place across multiple platforms. If you're like most people and just go through the quick setup guide (which isn't labeled as such - or something like that), *** make sure you set up the "Entertainment Zone" after the Play setup flashes up the normal hue app/connect to the hue bridge, and BEFORE you install the hue sync app on your PC!*** So far it works quite well when playing games or watching (unprotected) video content. Unfortunately, my Windows 10 PC makes an annoying beep every time the screensaver is triggered and I get the error message: Access is denied, try to run the application with elevated privileges. This is repeated until the screensaver is disabled. happens, the indicators also turn white and change brightness every time an error occurs. Unfortunately, everything runs with elevated rights. This works as intended according to Hue support, which is unacceptable. Screen saver, of course, was there a way to get Hue Sync to pause screen recording once the screen saver was triggered? It's just ridiculous to have to remember to turn off Hue Sync every time I walk away from the computer. gets two because he's annoying as hell. The documentation is terrible. There are four different sets of documentation (A, B, C, and a blank Quick Start Guide), much of it in incredibly small print, and some of the diagrams so poorly designed that they're indecipherable. Going through the documentation to see if it was as bad as I remembered, I found out that they offer a 2 year warranty on the flashlights as long as they ***no more than 3 hours a day , to be used 7 days a week*. **. Considering they don't sleep with your computer or when the screen saver kicks in when you use your computer a lot, that's a pretty poor lifespan for something that costs that much. under the Hue Guarantee) and the fact that Hue Sync requires a PC but isn't screensaver compatible means I can't currently recommend it unless you have a large disposable income. If money is tight, this is not an item worth spending money on.
