Controls two separate lights

When I bought it a year ago I thought that the Up Light and Down Light buttons control the same light. When I connected the return receiver to the fan (a Hyperikon 52-inch remote controlled ceiling fan), I found that the receiver had two output wires for the lights (one marked for the top light and the other for the bottom light). ). ). bright). Since my fan only has one bulb, albeit in the down position under the fan blades, I decided to wire the light to the Up Light wire due to the orientation of the buttons on the remote. The top button is easier to find in the dark. The reason I bought this remote when Hyperikon already had a remote is that I actually bought two Hyperikon fans and then used both remotes on the same fan because Hyperikon does not sell replacement remotes on Revain. One Hypericon remote is at the head of the bed, the second Hypericon remote is near the bedroom door. This great decision left me with a spare fan and Hypericon receiver, but no remote. I bought a Hampton Bay receiver and two Hampton Bay remotes for the second Hyperikon fan. The same: one remote control by the bed, the second by the door. Yes, I still have a spare Hypericon receiver. The Hampton Bay remote uses a 9V battery. Each time the button is pressed, the red LED will flash to confirm the 9V battery is good. The Hampton Bay Receiver doesn't beep like many cheap overseas receivers. The remote control and Hampton Bay receiver have 16 code combinations that are selected with four switches. Hampton Bay's light control has two modes: a short press turns the light on and off as expected. A long press toggles the light through approximately 4 dimming levels (Off, Low, Medium, High). I used dimmable 13w LED bulbs which are about the equivalent of 60w incandescent bulbs. This Hampton Bay remote does not control the direction of the fan, your fan must have its own local directional switch. I recommend this remote if you already own a Hampton. Receiver compatible with the bay.

Pros

Cons
  • Some bugs
