This is the second batch I've bought. I had bought one a few weeks ago because I was renovating a chair that needed sanding in tight spots at the joints and between the slats. The FIRST was ruined after about 15 minutes of use because the little nylon pad holding the sandpaper had completely melted rendering the item unusable. There are no caveats regarding "this tool can heat up and melt the pad with prolonged use". It wasn't until I read another user's review that I slowed down and kept the "light" touch with this one. BUT! The little nylon pad holding the sandpaper came loose! I didn't use it for more than 5 minutes and had to change the sandpaper; Be very careful not to remove the sandpaper without holding the pad once it has just come off! I've tried fixing it with liquid nails but I'll have to wait to see if it works! That's ridiculous!
