The original pad of my 15 year old PC grinder is finally obsolete. The grinder itself still works but I wanted to scrap it as a local replacement plate costs almost as much as a new grinder. For the online price, it's worth reviving the grinder. Installation is easy as only three screws need to be removed. Some of the other reviewers complained about the need to relocate the mounting screws. I haven't had this problem as my grinder has through holes which means the screws can't go all the way. Double check your grinder, if it's the same as mine don't worry about the shims. The pillow feels firmer than the original, which is good as it helps keep the surface flat.
