These shock absorbers have received top marks on most Toyota forums. That's quality. Attention, they come without instructions. It's not that hard to find out, but you have to be sure. The hardest part is removing the old shock absorbers. The upper nut is difficult to loosen. A vise and 14mm wrench are required. Spray PBR to dissolve. A rubber mallet will also come in handy. The good thing about Bilstein shocks is that a 5mm hex wrench fits on top to prevent the shock from rotating, eliminating the need for a vise! No instructions to tell you this but good engineering experience. A 17mm spare nut is also used on the bottom. At least with the 2016 Tacoma. It takes some force to compress the shock to fit the bottom bracket. A slotted screwdriver helps with levering as well as a rubber mallet. Bottom nut, bolt and washer are not included, so keep the original one. Removing the old shock absorbers takes the longest, around 20 minutes per shock absorber for new ones. They don't raise the truck because they're not supposed to, but they improve the suspension.
