I didn't want to write a review at all but an automated email from Computer Upgrade King suggested I let them know how things were going so I'll take their offer. Good news: - I received my product on time, well packaged, with clear instructions and all physical components included as advertised. - The installation looks good, aesthetic. It also worked fairly quietly, all things considered. Not so good news: - It didn't work, so to speak. Any activity that requires even moderate GPU usage will result in a hard freeze. I've gone through a long list of troubleshooting steps to do in this situation but to no avail. What's New TBD: - I'm pretty philosophical about technical errors, especially when they're gear related. Production is so far removed from assembling and marketing these finished rigs that it's difficult to hold anyone accountable for a Gremlin, especially when it's so ambiguous that quick shipping and replacement isn't possible. My friend Jesse at CUK was quick to respond to the initial fix so that's a plus. The only viable solution was to box up the entire setup and send it back for an exchange which was filled out with a simple form and again Jesse was quick to process once that decision was made. ANSWER: I sent the rig back last Tuesday, it arrived Thursday and to this day (Monday) I still haven't heard anything about when the replacement rig is on the way. Assuming it arrives on time and works, I really can't complain about my overall experience. That being said, waiting for them to 'register' my returned computer before an exchange takes place, while understandable from a business perspective, is quite a frustrating system for an expensive purchase like this. I'll definitely be updating this review with thoughts once I (hopefully) have my exchange setup.
