Review on LeeKooLuu Q03: Portable High-speed USB-C & USB 3.0 DVD External Drive for Laptops - Windows/Mac OSX/Linux Compatible by Shane Black

It worked well on my desktop Mac and my laptop Mac. It worked just as well as a remote Mac DVD player and was about 1/3 the cost. This doesn't work on my desktop or laptop. I think the problem is not enough current on the cable. The docs say that if you have power issues, they will send you a replacement unit free of charge with two cables to plug into two USB ports to get it working. I don't need it for my PC so I didn't order one but I've contacted them about their other products in the past and they were quick to respond and ship.
