When starting the hole on the rough brick surface the core drill tends to walk away from the pilot hole. This is because of the length of the tool. There is a lot of flex in the pilot bit. I’m sure this would not be an issue on a smooth flat surface such as concrete block. So I had to adapt by removing the pilot bit after the core hole was started and then it cut a fast clean hole through the brick And completed a nice looking job. Appears to be very little if any wear on the cutting edge of the core bit after three holes through brick and mortar. Tool arrived before expected and was packaged securely.
