My first print with this filament was a 28 hour lens for a 6 inch refractor telescope I am building. I needed a strong cell because a dual lens of this size costs a few pounds and $400 and cannot slide. This material prints flawlessly. I'm hesitant to say it prints better than regular PLA, but almost. I used a little over half a roll on my first print. I wanted to see the wear and tear for myself and how it happened. I really couldn't tell from the first print what the wear and tear was. I did a smaller 4 hour print that looked good too. I'm finishing a 10 hour print now and the roll will be almost done. Now I'm already noticing wear and tear, which is why the nozzle failed. You can get 3/4 buns out of a brass nozzle. I'm not sure I can justify the price for low-end projects, but it would cost a lot more to buy/make a cell for such a lens. really good thread. I'm sure I'll buy more when I need power. Edit: I have no idea what I was thinking. I thought it was around $32. For $22 it's good stuff and a reasonable price. I will definitely be using more in the near future. Final change: 6" refractor lens. Eight 8-32 bolts are drilled and driven into the front of the cell. Knocks like soft metal and looks like it will hold up well. I trust him a $400 lens. Posts Just make sure you're using the correct size tap bit and take your time. If the hole is too small, the tap will be difficult to insert and the filament may break. Too large and the threads won't hold. Do it the areas you want to press with a solid thread. One thing to keep in mind when working with printable surfaces.I tried blue tape and this thread didn't work with it.I switched to the green frog tape and this thread worked great with it I can't get regular PLA to stick to frog tape but it does.
