Was looking for a pump that would easily connect to a dehumidifier when I came across this one. The dehumidifier was in an old basement from which you couldn't empty the buckets without climbing a ladder. This little pump is the answer. It was easy to install and had plenty of piping to get to the top drain for the washing machine. (I drilled a small hole in our floor to raise it, but it's barely noticeable). Don't let the thin line fool you, this pump pushes the water out once it reaches the level, and does it quickly, in just a few seconds, every time it's needed. I often forget it's there unless I happen to drop by in one of those moments when it's empty. The humidity in our basement has dropped and our backs have been saved from lifting the bucket. LOVE this pump.
