This fine mesh sink strainer is essential for extending the life of your sink grinder and replacing plumbing fixtures. It catches even very small waste, which is then sent to the garbage or compost. The smallest bits caught in the strainer can then be washed down the sink drain by turning the strainer upside down under a faucet (while 'encouraging' water - a coffee grinder if you have one) . I've had dozens of other sink strainers and this first one is really good.
