The bag only weighs 1 lb and if you have to walk around New York with 15 lbs of tools in it, wow what a difference, huge difference to 6 backpack weighing one pound. The zip worked perfectly, the small pocket on the inside flap is ok but don't expect anything to actually fit inside. The bag feels very sturdy and will last a long time. It fits in my channel locks, 4 screwdrivers, 3 adjustment screwdrivers, a needle tip, wire cutters, 2 small bags of fuses and parts, paint, and a Fluke 117 multimeter. What I don't like is that the pad on the strap is hideous. I ended up buying extra padding for the strap. Instead of a zip flap on the inside, it should have been placed on the outside for easy access. On the back, like the old model, there should be pocket padding "not lining or book", or on the front - at one end, instead of a hammer, there should be a lattice lock for a water bottle. If you need a small and light bag, take this one. This is my everyday bag that I take around New York City when I'm fixing elevators.
