Review on 🐠 Tetra No More Algae Tablets 8 Count: Effective Algae Control for Aquariums by Julie Bahr

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It may be delayed - but it works!

Bought this when I had a heavy algal bloom that was unrelated (water changes, environmental changes, light blocking, light dimming, etc.). I bought it as a last resort because it was cheap and I had nothing to lose. There really isn't. Instructions for proper use alongside quantity. I was concerned about just tossing the pills in my tank (I didn't want my fish pecking at them when they hiss) so I saw reviews saying to take a cup of water out of the tank, the pills put it in and let it dissolve and then add the water back in and that's what I did. After the first week I didn't notice any major changes at all and decided to try another dose once it was safe. After /another/ week there was still no change and I thought it was empty. Then, slowly but surely, I noticed that the water was getting clearer. The plants are not covered with algae - the decorations are a completely different color because they ONCE weren't covered with a layer of algae slime. Fast forward 3 months? My tank is still fine. There is no spot of algae in this aquarium, the aquarium stones are shiny and colorful, like new, my decorations are like new. I didn't have to add any more pills or anything. While I was sure this was useless, it was actually a lifesaver and the best choice I could have made for my aquarium. I had 5 fish (2 Dalmatian Mollies and 3 Rock Tetras, one of which is 7 years old) and none got sick, died or showed any irritation from this product. If your aquarium is full of algae, give it a try and be patient.
