Decent lens. Ideal for capturing the interiors of home sales, car interiors and other areas where space is limited. I haven't done landscape photography yet, but I will soon, and I think it should be good. It's a plastic body rather than metal, but its tolerances are tight and feel very solid. Maybe it's just new, but it definitely feels a lot more premium than I was expecting. A note for the novice or novice photographer: this lens does not zoom. Most of your main camera kits will include a "wide-angle" lens of around 18-55mm, and most people will pick up a separate telephoto lens at 200mm or even 300mm. This lens is 10-18mm, so just understand that if you want to zoom something with this lens, you have to do it ;). I just don't want you to be surprised if you think it will replace your old wide angle lens.
