This jig is a great idea, but it's too bulky and cumbersome to use on a MacBook or MacBook Pro. The problem with MacBooks is that the screens are very thin and light, and the way the screen is attached really overwhelms the hinges and balance of the screen. The rear "stand" helps but is impractical, and overall this thing is more of a nuisance than it's worth. Instead, I went with a similar device, but it's a standalone screen that takes up about 1/3 of the space (to allow it to fit nicely in a laptop bag (unlike this device). If it was a stand - a screen with a thin fold out body, then I think the overall quality is pretty good and the size is almost right (although you'll probably have to lower the resolution if you have VERY good eyesight - the text will be SMALL being).
