Easy install with the right tools

When I moved in, my house didn't have an outside faucet and I'm not a plumber. I couldn't find a plumber in our area who was willing to do such a small job, so I did it myself (I have construction experience, little plumbing experience). A few important tips: Invest some money in the right tools to cut your piping, be it copper, PEX or whatever. I tried using a fine-toothed hacksaw on the PEX and had trouble with the dripping when making the joint. So I rummaged through our moving boxes until I found my pipe cutter. Clean cuts are key to the longevity of this product. Sharkbite also sells a tool for measuring the joint depth and cleaning the edge of the pipe. Buy this tool; It's very useful. You've already saved a lot of money by doing the work yourself. Do your best to make sure this solution doesn't come back to you.

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks
