Review on ๐ŸŒฌ๏ธ LEVOIT LV-H133 Air Purifier Replacement Filter Set - H13 True HEPA and Activated Carbon Filters, LV-H133-RF, White by Alex Foley

It used to be great, but now we have to save on the production of filters.

Bought this air purifier about 8 months ago. it was amazing. Life changes, honestly. One of those things I didn't know I needed until I got it. Unfortunately, I am very frustrated with the filter change. when i got it from prime i was very confused because the carbon filter in the replacement was completely clear with huge holes. Rather than sending it back via Prime and possibly getting another faulty filter, I decided to email levoit on their website to let them know the issue and see what they think. (You can clearly see the difference between my original filter and the new filters in my attached photos). They were amazing at customer service. Reached out to me quickly and agreed the filter didn't look right and sent me a new one. I've been waiting for a new filter for about a week and expect it to be the same as the old one. I open the box and see that not only does it have holes in the carbon like Revain, but this one has bigger holes and the carbon is thinner than Revain. Frustrated, I contacted her again to let her know. I was very kind and understanding and told them that I understand Covid could have ruined everything and I would be totally open to anything they had to offer, but I didn't want another filter sent to me just because it was Has holes and wastes more plastic. They got back to me a day later and basically unbeknownst to their team they said there might have been an update. that holes don't matter and that it's all about weight. but how can it weigh more when pierced with larger holes and thinner? My original filter made absolutely no light when you looked into it. It was completely sealed with an activated carbon filter and well finished. Surprisingly overpowers odors. I even cut it open to see how thick it is in case I missed something. As you can see in the picture, the original carbon was DICH. nothing like new. I couldn't even leave the filter on once I lit the candle because it absorbed all the smell but with this new filter I tested the candle and nothing came out. I could smell the candle as if the air purifier hadn't even been turned on. I know Corona must have been hard on them, but it's really annoying that Levoit cut corners but still charges $50 for this filter (which I wouldn't have a problem with if it was the original filter). I also don't understand why the Levoit team didn't know about their own product update. how is that even possible? I know it's not them personally (and they're really good at cs) but those above them making changes, but I'd welcome at least a little more transparency when it comes to filters.
